We are extremely excited to introduce to you our new Japanese green tea selections from an amazing farm located deep in the countryside of Nara. We just received our first shipment and the aroma of the fresh teas filled the shop as we began packaging. This farm produces only Kabuse sencha that is shaded for seven days before picking. It is a style of tea that is specific to the Uji growing region and yields a dark green leafed tea that is naturally sweet. The shading causes the plant to produce more chlorophyll, which is an amino acid. These teas are single estate and single cultivar of the highest quality.
